FIRST LOVE STORY IN THE BIBLE | BIBLE STORIES | #thejessyrsoe

Hello Amigos!

How are you all doing?

I am Jessy Rose

I hope you are safe and sound😇

So as the title says let's learn about a Love Story from the Bible

Who are these love birds?
Why do we wanna learn about it?
Where does this love story happen?

So this is the story of Jacob and Rachel

And this story explains about - relationship, job, salary

So the story begins from the time when Jacob receives blessings from his father Issac to get married to his mother's brother's daughter
Genesis 28:1-7

So after receiving blessings Jacob obeyed his father and headed to the east side from Canaan
Genesis 29:1

Even Issac obeyed his father Abraham and married his father's relative Rebecca

When Jacob reached Harran and found out about his uncle and his daughter Rachel
Genesis 29:1-10

There comes the entry of our Rachel

The meaning of Rachel is Ewe or Female sheep

Rachel was a shepherd. She looks after the flock and she waters them from the well

Jesus Christ tells
John 21:15
Feed my lambs

John 21:16
Take care of my lambs

And in another verse, he tells
John 10:11
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep

To water, the sheep Rachel came to the well there Jacob and Rachel met.

Jacob helps Rachel by rolling over the stone away from the mouth of the well and watered sheep

(Then do you know what happens?)
Genesis 29:11
Jacob kissed Rachel and began to weep aloud

Jacob introduced himself to Rachel and she ran to tell her father, Laban

As soon as Laban got to know he hurried to meet him, he embraced, kissed his sister's son and brought him to his house

Laban tells Jacob, "You are my own flesh and blood."

Listening to this whom do you remember?

The only person strikes in my mind is Adam when he saw Eve

Do you know?

Laban is the 21st generation from Adam and Jacob is 22nd

Rachel had a lovely figure and was beautiful
Genesis 29:17

Jacob is telling that he will work for Laban for seven years to get his daughter Rachel

But he ended up working for 14years to get her, and finally, they got married

Let's check few comparisons between Rachel and her mother-in-law Rebecca

1. Rebecca is very beautiful
   Genesis 24:16
As we learnt Rachel is also beautiful, she might have got those genes from her aunt Rebecca

2. Rebecca came to the well and she poured water for Eliezer and also for all his camels
     Genesis 24:15-20
Even Rachel watered all her sheep from the well

As Proverbs 31:27 says, "She does not eat the bread of idleness."

3. In both Rebecca and Rachel's marriages Laban is involved

4. Rebecca and Rachel were infertile for a longer period. They both waited for a long to get pregnant.             They both love children they prayed for children
     Genesis 30:22-24

5. Rebecca has two sons even Rachel has two sons

6. Rebecca left her parents to go to her husband
Even Rachel also left her parents to go with her husband
Psalms 45:10 says, Listen, daughter, and pay careful attention: Forget your people and your father's            house

7. Rebecca covered her son Jacob with goatskins so that her husband wouldn't find out
Similarly, Rachel hides her fathers' idols under camel skin that her husband wouldn’t find out

8. Issac loved Rebecca
    Even Jacob loved Rachel

9. Rebecca have to leave her favourite son for her mistake
Rachel also have to leave her children for her mistake

10. Rebecca was buried in Canaan
Rachel was also buried in Canaan

11. Issac mourned for Rebecca's death
      Jacob mourned for Rachel's death

12. Both of them dies before their husbands die

So from both of them, we have to learn that they are hardworking and prayerful persons and they are blessed

So let's adapt those and be blessed by our Saviour Christ

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
