Hello Amigos!
How are you all?
Hope you are all doing well😊.
Firstly thank you so much for your constant support and blessings.
So as I mentioned in the previous blog if you haven't read already here is the link about Abraham Sacrifice, go check it out.
So today we are gonna learn about Abraham, who is called 'Father of Faith'.
Okay let's see
GENESIS 12:1-4
In this, God said to Abram to go to the land he will show and God promises that he will make Abram into a great nation, make his name great, and bless him to be a blessing to others.
Now, who is this Abraham?
His father's name is Terah, and his birthplace is Ur of the Chaldeans. (GENESIS 11:27-28)
So from Ur of the Chaldeans, they came to Harran and settled there. (GENESIS 11:31)
So after God told him to leave his Father's place and go to a place where he would show, Abraham obeyed God and went to Canaan.
Abraham is not an ordinary man, he is very rich. (GENESIS 13:2)
God said to Abraham that he will give all land that he sees around to him and to his offspring, and he told him he will make his offspring like the dust of the earth. (GENESIS 13:14-16)
He was barren till then when God made this promise his age was 75 years😱.
If you observe I mentioned, Abraham's name as Abram in the above, why did I mention that?
The meaning of Abram is 'Exalted Father'.
But God changed his name to Abraham, which means 'Father of Many'.
It means his name is changed from Exalted Father to Father of Many.
In Genesis from Chapter 17-50, Abraham's name is mentioned 130 times😮.
Issac was born to Abraham when he was 100years and his wife was 90 years old.
Abraham waited for 25 years on God's promise. He completely kept his faith in God.
So my dear Amigos, are we keeping our complete faith in God and waiting for his time?
Even though Issac was born after so long time when God tested him offered Issac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, even though God had said to him, "It is through Issac that your offspring will be reckoned. Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Issac back from death. (HEBREWS 11:17-19)
All this was spoken by Paul when he was speaking about the faith he gave an example of Abraham because he is the 'Father of Faith'.
So dear Amigos, even when we put our complete faith in God, he will bless us as he blessed Abraham.
Let's pray together,
Father Lord, help us to keep our complete faith in you like Abraham and bless us as you blessed him. Amen!
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
