I hope you are doing well and safe!
We do different kinds of prayers. It may be family prayer or individual prayer or morning prayer or evening prayer or thanksgiving prayer or Sunday prayer, like this we do so many types of prayers. We even share our prayer requests to pray.
But what is this prayer?
When was it started?
Who started this prayer?
The man who started this prayer was Enosh.
The meaning of Enosh is 'Mortal Man.'
What is his speciality?
The first 'Prayer was started in his time'.
What is the meaning of Prayer?
Telling God all our needs and wants. We ask him, we pray to God. This is prayer.
By the way who is this Enosh?
He is the son of Seth.
Who is this Seth?
Seth is the son of Adam, who is God's offspring.
Even before creating Adam, God arranged everything for Adam.
God created Adam to spend with God and guard the whole universe which he created. To lead it and God appointed Adam as a leader.
So the one who was created in God's image, God arranged everything.
What did God arrange?
Before this earth was formless and empty. But in five days God created this whole universe and on the sixth day, God created human being in his own image to spend with him, to listen and what God is telling, and to rule the universe he created.
God used to spend every cool of the day with them. (GENESIS 3:8)
So one day instead of listening to God's sound they listened to the serpent's sound, they became far away from God and hide behind the tree.
And for hiding, they were cursed and the earth was cursed because of them.
After they were curse they had two sons and they are Cain and Abel. (GENESIS 4:1-2)
Cain killed his brother Abel so God cursed Cain.
Then the death has entered.
As they went against God's word, "YOU MUST NOT EAT FRUIT OR YOU WILL DIE".
Though God told them not to eat still they ate fruit so death has come.
So the one who died first was Abel. Even when he died his blood cried out from the ground. God heard that cry and cursed his brother Cain.
So after Abel was murdered, Adam and Eve have another son and that son is Seth. And the son of this Seth is Enosh. (GENESIS 4:26)
Maybe Enosh heard about God and about his mighty powers from his grandfather, Adam. About God's judgment (when Abel's blood cried how God gave judgment), about how God created this universe, about their joy when they used to spend time with God.
How sin has entered and spread on this earth because of the sinful life of Cain and his offspring.
All these things Enosh learned from his grandfather and learned about the joy of spending time with God.
And he started praying to God.
Seth had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call on the name of the Lord.
(GENESIS 5:6;9-11)
SETH HAD LIVED 105 YEARS, HE BECAME THE FATHER OF ENOSH, AFTER HE BECAME THE FATHER OF ENOSH.
WHEN ENOSH HAD LIVED 90 YEARS, HE BECAME THE FATHER OF KENAN.
AFTER HE BECAME THE FATHER OF KENAN, ENOSH LIVED 815 YEARS AND HAD OTHER SONS AND DAUGHTERS.
ALTOGETHER, ENOSH LIVED A TOTAL OF 95 YEARS, AND THEN HE DIED.
Cain lived in sin and his offspring lived in sins and went after worldly pleasures and lived in sinful life.
Offsprings of Seth, Enosh started praying and through prayer, they asked to spend time with God. Enoch and Noah are offsprings of them only and we already discussed them in our previous blogs, Enoch walked with God and went with him, When the world was filled with sin Noah lived righteously insight of God and built an ark according to the word of God and saved his family and pair of creatures from every species Story of Noah
We will be blessed when we live in God's presence. Enosh lived in God's presence so his offspring became so famous.
Even if we become prayerful persons like Enosh even our offspring will be blessed.
