Today let's learn about a rod that was sprouted.
How is it possible that can a rod get sprouted?
Who's rod is that?
Where did it sprout?
NUMBERS 17:8
THE NEXT DAY MOSES ENTERED THE TENT AND SAW THAT THE TRIBE OF LEVI, HAD NOT ONLY SPROUTED BUT HAD BUDDED, BLOSSOMED, AND PRODUCED ALMONDS.
Let's see some backup stories where God told Moses to collect rods from each elder of each tribe. After collecting, God told them to place them in a tent, and whose rod will be sprouted he is will be the chosen one to be a priest.
So Aaron's rod was sprouted which means he is the chosen one. The rod was not just sprouted but it budded, blossomed, and produced almonds.
Who is this Aaron? Why did God choose him?
The meaning of Aaron is 'Hight mountain', 'Mountain of strength', 'Exalted', 'Enlightened'.
NUMBERS 26:59
THE NAME OF AMRAM'S WIFE WAS JOCHEBED, A DESCENDANT OF LEVI, WHO WAS BORN TO THE LEVITES IN EGYPT. TO AMRAM SHE BORE AARON, MOSES AND THEIR SISTER MIRIAM.

EXODUS 4:14
LORD SAID TO MOSES, "WHAT ABOUT YOUR BROTHER, AARON THE LEVITE? I KNOW HE CAN SPEAK WELL. HE IS ALREADY ON HIS WAY TO MEET YOU, AND HE WILL BE GLAD TO SEE YOU".
God chose Moses to free Israelites from slavery in Egypt. And when Moses told that he couldn't speak properly, God told these about Aaron to Moses.
EXODUS 4:27
THE LORD SAID TO AARON, "GO INTO THE WILDERNESS TO MEET MOSES.
SO HE MET MOSES AT THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD AND KISSED HIM.
What's the family history of Aaron?
EXODUS 6:23
AARON MARRIED ELISHEBA, DAUGHTER OF AMMINADAB AND SISTER OF NAHSHON, AND SHE BORE HIM NADAB AND ABIHU, ELEAZAR, AND ITHAMAR.
Aaron is a prophet (EXODUS 7:1)
God chose Moses to free Israelites from slavery in Egypt. We will discuss Moses in the coming days.
God arranged for Aaron to speak on behalf of Moses.
They both went to King Pharoh and spoke with him, asking for permission to go and worship God of Israel.
But King Pharoh did not grant permission.
STAFF(ROD) THAT BECAME SNAKE:
EXODUS 7:10
SO MOSES AND AARON WENT TO PHARAOH AND DID JUST AS THE LORD COMMANDED. AARON THREW HIS STAFF DOWN IN FRONT OF PHARAOH AND HIS OFFICIALS, AND IT BECAME A SNAKE.
STAFF(ROD) THAT BROUGHT FROGS
EXODUS 8:5-6
5. THEN THE LORD SAID TO MOSES, "TELL AARON, 'STRETCH OUT YOUR HAND WITH YOUR STAFF OVER THE STREAMS AND CANALS AND PONDS, AND MAKE FROGS COME UPON THE LAND OF EGYPT.'"
6. SO AARON STRETCHED OUT HIS HAND OVER THE WATERS OF EGYPT, AND THE FROGS CAME UP AND COVERED THE LAND.
Aaron's staff did these miracles.
But what is that staff getting sprouted?
Aaron resembles Jesus Christ.
ISAIAH 11:1
A SHOOT WILL COME UP FROM THE STUMP OF JESSE; FROM HIS ROOTS A BRANCH WILL BEAR FRUIT.
This is the prophecy of the Messiah - Jesus Christ.
ISAIAH 53:2
HE GREW UP BEFORE HIM LIKE A TENDER SHOOT, AND LIKE A ROOT OUT OF DRY GROUND.
Even this is the prophecy about the Messiah.
Who accepts Jesus Christ as saviour,
NUMBERS 17:5
THE STAFF BELONGING TO THE MAN I CHOOSE WILL SPROUT, AND I WILL RID MYSELF OF THIS CONSTANT GRUMBLING AGAINST YOU BY THE ISRAELITES."
Aaron was chosen by God, so his staff was sprouted. Even if we are like favourite persons to God, he will choose us and makes our lives sprouted.
